Susan Kelley Mager, 45, Teacher

Born November 17, 1956 in Lorain, where she was raised and graduated from Admiral King High School in the class of 1975. She has been a lifetime resident of Lorain.

She attended Lorain County Community College and received her BA and Masters Degrees in teaching from Kent State University. Susan was an elementary school teacher for the Amherst School system for 20 years teaching 5th grade at both Central Middle School and Shupe Middle School. She was a member of Christian Heritage Assembly of God Church in Avon where she ran the tape ministry. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to historic sites through the country, and greatly enjoyed American History.

Survivors include her husband of eleven years, Richard Paul Mager; her daughter Melanie Mager, at home; her father Jack Philip of Lorain and her mother Dana Yaneris (nee Summers) of Lorain.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Christian Heritage Assembly of God Church; 36465 Chester Rd., Avon. The Rev. Terry Barriss, associate pastor, will officiate. Additional calling hours will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ford Funeral Home; 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, West Virginia followed by burial in Mt Zion Cemetery, Mt. Zion, West Virginia.
