Judy Dziak, 76, Assistant School Librarian

Judy Dziak, (nee Brigant-Molnar), 76, of Sheffield Township, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at her home after a short illness.

She was born October 23, 1925 in Lorain and had resided in Sheffield Township for the past 60 years. She attended Clearview Schools.

Mrs. Dziak worked at Durling Elementary School, Vincent Elementary School and Clearview High School for 20 years as the Assistant School Librarian retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain; the HOly Trinity Ladies Guild, the church Altar & Rosary Society and the Mother's Club of the church, St. John/Holy Trinity Lodge #228, National Slovak Society Branch #160 and the OAPSE (Ohio Association of Public School Employees).

Mrs. Dziak was a charter member of the Sheffield Township Fire Department Blazettes. She was a former presiding judge of the Sheffield Township south precinct. She was a member of the Clearview Band Boosters and the Clearview PTA and Mother's Club.

She enjoyed traveling especially to Phoenix, Arizona and on fishing trips to Canada. She enjoyed arts and crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Paul S. Dziak, sons: Ronald P. Dziak of Lorain and Jeffrey J. Dziak of Ashland and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Adalbert Brigant, mother Helen (nee Doach) Brigant-Molnar, stepfather Joseph Molnar, brothers William Molnar and Joseph Molnar and sister, Helen Nagy.

The family will receive friends Sunday 4-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel. 3224 Broadway, Lorain, where the HOly Trinity Altar & Rosary Society and Holy Trinity Ladies Guild will recite the rosary Sunday at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David Novak, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
