Filomena Licastro Luppino, 97, Catholic Church of St. Peter,Lorain

She was born November 9, 1904 in Delianuova Reggio Calabria, Italy and had resided in Lorain for several years moving from Elyria.

Mrs. Luppino was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and the church Altar & Rosary Society.

She is survived by her daughter Grace Etta Luppino Smith of Elyria, son Dominic Luppino of Akron, daughter Antoinette Luppino of Lorain, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sisters Licastro Grazia DeLeo Giuseppina Melara and Annina Giacobbe and brother Giuseppe Filippo Licastro, all of Reggio Calabria, Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Luppino on Jan. 7, 1974, parents Giovanni and Carmela Mariantonia Licastro and sister Maria Annunziata Serrao.

The family will receive friends Friday 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3601 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria.
