Agnes M. Ferenzi, 78, Accomplished Baker and Cook

Agnes M. Ferenzi, (nee Hritz), age 78, of Elyria Township, died Friday, March 22, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an extended illness.

She was born April 26, 1923 in Lorain and had been a resident of Elyria Township for the past 45 years.

A graduate of Lorain High School, Mrs. Ferenzi was employed in food services at Ford Motor Company's Lorain Assembly Plant for many years.

A parishioner of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, and a member of St. Ann's auxiliary, she was an accomplished baker and cook and was well known for her cabbage roll recipe. Additional interests included working puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Antal "Red" Ferenzi, a daughter, Diane Solomon-Ferenzi of Elyria Township, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and brothers: Steve Hritz of Lorain and Paul Hric also of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by a son: Gerald in 2001, by her parents, John and Anna (nee Kekel), Hritz, by brothers: Andrew and Joseph and by a sister: Anne Hromiak.

Friends may call Thursday, March 28, 2002 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. James Ols, pastor of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
