Alice Marie Jaram, 68, Housewife and Mother

Born October 18, 1933 in Amherst, where she was raised and has been a lifelong resident of the area.

Alice was a housewife and mother. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, garage sales, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she loved her daughter-in-laws.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Glenn W. Jaram, her sons Mr. Rick Jaram of Amherst, Mr. Terry Jaram and Mr. Larry Jaram both of Elyria; her daughter, Cheryl Jones of Amherst Township, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; her sisters Florence Gede of Henrietta Township, Ruth Gnagy of Amherst.

She was preceded in death by her parents August and Margaret (nee Wissinger) Sagert; her son Douglas Jaram in 1977; her grandson Douglas Jr. in 1977 and brother Robert Sagert.

Friends may call Sunday, March 24, 2002 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Bud Neidhiser, Mrs. Jaram's brother-in-law of Pennsylvania will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
