Rosa Vullo, 74, Housewife and Mother

Born October 19, 1927 in Favignana, Sicily. She had made her home in Amherst and Lorain for the past 30 years.
Rosa was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She enjoyed playing bingo at several of the local Lorain churches and at St. Joseph Catholic church, Amherst. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Maria Tomusko of Amherst, Frances Battaglia of Amherst and Pina Gillespie of Lorain; 10 granddaughters and 1 grandson, brother Carlo Ernades of Vermilion; three nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Giuseppe "Joe" Vullo in 1998; her parents Vito and Francesca (nee Figliomeni) Ernades; her sister Orsola Campo.
Friends may call Monday, March 25, 2002, 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Final prayers will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 10:15 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. from the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Kenneth J. Wolnowski, pastor of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain will officiate. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery mausoleum, Lorain.
