Theresa M. Beko, 84, Enjoyed Reading and Cooking
Theresa M. Beko (nee Dobias), 84, of Amherst, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center in Lorain after a long illness.She was born October 7, 1917 in Bellaire, Ohio and had resided in Amherst since 1948.
Mrs. Beko was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Churhc in Amherst and the Ladies Auxiliary of Moose Lodge #552 in Lorain. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Kelley of Amherst and Mary Anne Stack of Lodi, California; son, Michael J. Beko, Jr. of Stafford, Virginia, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Michael J. Beko, Sr. on January 27, 1997, parents, John and Mary (nee Langler) Dobias, sisters Mary and Julia and brothers Joseph Dobias.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. unit the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. The Rev. Lawrence Martello, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst will officiate. Cremation will follow.
