Frances S. Zaborniak, 95, Enjoyed Crocheting

Frances S. Zaborniak, (nee Paukst) age 95, of Lorain, died Thursday March 28, 2002 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born August 20, 1906 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city.

An active parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, she was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society as well as the St. Joseph Lodge of the church. Active in Polish fraternal affairs, Mrs. Zaborniak formerly served as the secretary and treasurer for the Alliance of Poles; she was also a member of St. Ann's Lodge, as well as the Union of Poles Lodge #75. She was also a member of the Blue Star Mothers whose main hobby was crocheting.

She is survived by daughters: Helen Murawski of Lorain, and Alice Rybarczyk of Oberlin, sons: Henry of Perrysburg, Stanley of Lorain, and Ted of North Ridgeville, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother; Alex Pauskt of Lorain and sister: Helen Supers of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul in 1986, by her parents: John and Josephine (nee Galenski) Pauskt, and brothers: Walter and Joseph Paukst.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway, Lorain where a rosary service will be conducted at 5 p.m. by members of the St. Stanislaus Altar and Rosary Society. Friends may also call Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church- 2702 Elyria Avenue- from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Kevin C. Shemuga, pastor of St. Stanislaus Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
