Donald L. Bradley, SR, 87, U.S. Steel's of Lorain Works

Donald L. Bradley, SR., age 87, of Lorain, died Saturday March 30, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Bradley was born June 25, 1914 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city.

He was employed as a timekeeper and later as a crane operator in the # 3 Seamless Mill of U.S. Steel's Lorain Works; he retired in 1976 following 42 years of service with the company.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Mr. Bradley's interests included fishing as well as flower and vegetable gardening.

He is survived by daughters; Gloria of Florida, Donna Palacios of Lorain, and Millie Ann of Elyria, son: John Bradley of Wellington, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and sister: Louise Textor of Cambridge, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred (nee Radich), son: Donald L. Bradley, Jr., daughter: Nancy Jo Armstrong, parents: Leroy and Eva Bradley, and by brothers: Robert G., and Samuel Bradley.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel-3224 Broadway-Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 noon in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Dr. Roy F. Schutz, interim pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Lorain officiating.

Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery-Lorain.
