Nadalene L. Cook, 77, Avid Lover of the Outdoors

Nadalene L. Cook (nee Moyer), age 77 of Lorain died Thursday April 18, 2002 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following an extended illness.

Mrs. Cook was born April 14, 1925 in Flemington, West Virginia and had been a resident of Lorain since 1952.

She was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed flower gardening and yard work. Additional hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and oil painting. She had also established an extensive collection of owl memorabilia.

She had attended the former Wesleyan Living Word Church in Elyria.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Elaine (nee Reising) Cook of Avon, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph in 1992, by her parents, Wade and Lena (nee McCauley) Moyer, and a brother: Roy Moyer in 1969.

Private family services were held Saturday in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain with the Rev. C. Thomas Cleaton, pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Avon presiding. Burial followed in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.

The family suggests memorials in her memory to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
