Helen LaCock Jessel, 64, 26 years with Moen

Helen LaCock Jessel (nee Raber), 64 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2002 at her home while under hospice care.

Born July 23, 1037 in Claysville, Pennsylvania, where she lived until age 16. Shee lived in Kansas for 15 years prior to moving to Amherst.

She was employed at Moen, Inc. in Elyria for 26 years, retiring in 1984 working in plating. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Elyria. She enjoyed reading, bowling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Blaine LaCock of Sheffield, Timothy LaCock of Elyria, Jeff LaCock of Amherst and Jerry LaCock of Wellington; her daughters Kimberly Pasek of Westlake and Tammy Nichols of South Amherst; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren and her brothers Roy Raber of Elyria and Blaine Raber of Taylorstown, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James Jessel on January 31, 2002; and by her parents Chauncey and Loueva (nee Stahl) Raber and by many brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Midway Baptist Church; 41812 Grisold Rd., Elyria with the Rev. Charles Keesee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southe Amherst.
