Janice Marion Cornwell, 64, Enjoyed Spending Time With Her Family
Janice Marion Cornwell (nee Milatz), 64, of Avon Lake passed away Sunday, April 21, 2002 at her daughter's home following a lengthy battle with cancer.She was born October 9, 1937 in Dearborn, Michigan and has lived in Avon Lake the past year, coming from Bay Village, where she resided for 23 years. She was a graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, Michigan and a homemaker. Janice was a member of Bay Presbyterian Church, a Bible Study Fellowship group and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cornwell is survived by a daughter, Brenda Prentis (Sam) of Avon Lake and a son, Todd Cornwell (Sherry) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Mitch, Maddie, Mary and Max Prentis and Rebecca Cornwell; a brother, Gerald Milatz of Traverse City, Michigan; a step-mother, Elizabeth Milatz of Marshall, Michigan and two step-brothers, Gary Gordiner of Marshall, Michigan and Tom Gordnier of Portage, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy F. Cornwell (September 17, 2001 and her parents, Melvin and Ruth (nee Boelter) Milatz.
Memorial Services will be held at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Road, Bay Village on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Hubert C. Auburn and Rev. Tom Madden will officiate. Burial will be private at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
