Betty L. Merchant (nee Burk), 75, of Avon Lake formerly of Chillicothe, passed away, Monday, April 22, 2002 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake following a lengthy illness.She was born July 13, 1926 in Pakersburgh, WV and has lived in Avon Lake since 1969.
Mrs. Merchant was a homemaker, attended Ohio University and was a member of the Lakeland Women's Club, Lorain.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard L. and her son Stephen B. Merchant of Kissimmee, FL. Other survivors include 2 granddaughters, Colleen and Christina.
Mrs. Merchant is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mabel Burk.
Private graveside service will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Back to Obituaries
