Michael J. Allen, 28, Shipping and Receiving Clerk

He was born November 29, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL. He had worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for D.Y.I. Elyria. He was a former member of the Brookside High School Band and enjoyed being with family, music and travel.

Survivors include his mother, Kathryn L. (nee Andason) Pertz, and step-father, William F. Pertz of Sheffield Lake, step-brothers, Justin Pertz and Cory Pertz, both of Charlotte, NC and a step sister, Tina Pertz of Willowby, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Andason, 2001 and grandfather, Mike Andason, 1982.

A memorial service will be held at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Wednesday, May 1st at 7 p.m. The Reverend Marty Forrider, chaplin intern of Community Health Partners will officiate.
