Ronald E. Dickerson, 61, Hair Salon Owner/Operator

Ronald was born on December 25, 1940 in Elyria and was a 1959 graduate of South Amherst High School.

He served in the United States Army as a SP5 in Korea.

Ronald was the owner/operator of the Votre Butre, a hair salon in Columbus until 10 years ago. He then worked at Villa Angela Care Center, Columbus, until his illness.

He is survived by his 2 brothers, Gaylord of Lorain, and Gary of South Amherst.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlold E. and Virginia (nee Bachman) Dickinson.

Services for the family were held Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #451 will conduct full military honors.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Hospice at Riverside and Grant, 3595 Olentangy Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain was in charge of the arrangements.
