R. Joseph Ginnane, 80, VP of Federal Reserve Bank
R. Joseph Ginnane, 80, of Avon Lake passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Bradley Bay Nursing Home, Bay Village following a short illness.He was born August 18, 1921 in Lorain and has lived in Avon Lake for the past 10 years, coming from Bay Village.
He served in the US Navy during World War II as a Lieutenant and attended Notre Dame University and John Carroll University. Mr. Ginnane was employed as the vice-president of the Cleveland Office of the Federal Reserve Bank, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Raphael Church, Bay Village and enjoyed his family, golfing and bowling.
Mr. Ginnane is survived by two daughters, Patricia J. Yunker (Mark) of Sugarland, Texas and Kathleen Hribar (James of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a son, Joseph F. of South Euclid; five grandchildren and a sister, Mary Margaret LeFleur of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia S. (nee Stack) (March 22, 2001) and his parents, Joseph and Effie (nee Heaps) Ginnane.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, Avon Lake, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2002. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, May 3rd at 9:45 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, 525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon.
