Robert C. Greenhill, 74, Independent Insurance Agent

Robert C. Greenhill, 74 of age, and a resident of Sheffield Lake, passed away Friday, May 3, 2002 following a brief illness at Elyria Methodist Village.

He was born December 29, 1927 in Belgreen, AL. He has made his home in Sheffield Lake for the past 43 years.

Robert owned and operated Greenhill Insurance, working as an independent insurance agent for the past 26 years. He was a member of Toledo Road Church of Christ where he was very active occasionally filling the pulpit, a song leader, a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was local co-ordinator for a cable televisions how "In Search of the Lord's Way". He enjoyed Christian music, going to nursing homes and singing for elderly people and enjoyed traveling to Gospel singings.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Grace W. (nee Willis) Greenhill; his son Rick Greenhill of Sheffield Lake; his daughters, Barbara Coerner of Amherst and Peggy Arnal of Toledo;; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his sister Unamae Hester of Parma.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Frances (nee Moore); his brothers Artis, Albert, William and Edward Greenhill.

Friends may call Monday, May 06, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 07, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. The Evangelist Robert Eddy of Toledo Road Church of Christ, Lorain will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
