Helen Davis, 74, Office Manager & Electronics Assembler

She was born May 28, 1927 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Mrs. Davis worked as an office manager and electronics assembler at GCT Sales & Communications in Lorain for 22 years, retiring in 2000.

She enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren and crafts.

She is survived by her sons, Hugh Davis of Elyria Twp., William "Bill" Davis of Amherst and Warren Davis of St. Cloud, Minnesota; daughters, Mrs. Steve (Kathy) Bering of Huron and Sheila Davis Vazquez of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, close niece Cheryl Nimon of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Veronica (nee Meyer) Staszak, brothers: Frank Staszak, Steve Staszak, George "Albert" Staszak and John Staszak and sister Jeannie Delaney.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 9, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2002 at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. G. Michael Williamson, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
