Lena H. Hildum, 90, Cafeteria Manager

She was born June 22, 1911 in Warren, PA and had been a Vermilion resident since 1949. Mrs. Hildum had also lived in Arizona and San Diego, CA.

She managed the cafeteria at Lake School in Vermilion, and had worked in the cafeterias at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ, Grossmont College in San Diego, CA and San Diego State University in San Diego, CA.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion and the Non Certified school employees Union. She enjoyed displaying and selling her craft items. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include 3 sons, Jack Hildum of Las Vegas, NV, Monte Hildum of Las Vegas, NV and Donald Hildum of Taiwan, one daughter, Fayre Russell of Prescott, AZ, 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one brother, Burt Hinsdale of North Warren, PA.

Preceding her in death were her husband Burdette A. Hildum in 1967, parents Emil Yehl and Hedwig (nee Bauer) Yehl, two sons, Douglas Hildum in 2002 and Burdette Hildum Jr., in 1938, 2 sisters, Elsie Dunlap and Pauline Kiser and 2 brothers Edgar Offerle and Emil Yale.

Friends may call Friday, May 10, 2002 from 6 until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Wendell Brooker pastor of the United Church of Christ Congregational will be officiating.

Private burial will be held on Saturday in Jackson Run Cemetery Warren, PA.
