Mary Rutar, Active Parishioner
Mary Rutar, of Lorain died Thursday, May 09, 2002, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph (Lorain), following a brief illness.She was born in Austria and had lived in Germany, Italy and Slovenia prior to immigrating to the United States. She had been a resident of Lorain since 1922.
An active parishioner of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Lorain, she was a member of Lodge #60 of the American Mutual Life Association (A.M.L.A.) as well as several other Slovenian fraternal organizations.
She is survived by a son: Michael J. Rutar of Sheffield Township, a daughter, Lillian M. Zieba of Lorain and grandsons: Michael and Dale Rutar. Nine brothers and sisters proceeded in her death.
Private family funeral services will be held in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain with Rev. Paul Krajnik, pastor of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
