Brenda K. Dozier, 47, Nurses Aid
Brenda K. Dozier (nee Kelsay), 47 years of age and a resident of Lorain, passed away, Friday, May 10, 2002 at her home following a five year illness.
She was born October 30, 1954 in Columbia, KY where she was raised and lived until 1974 when she came to Lorain and has lived ever since.
Brenda was a nurse's aid taking care of severely handicapped children with hospital and healthcare facilities. She attended Cambellsville Baptist Church in Kentucky where she was baptized. She loved being a care giver and enjoyed swimming.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Dozier of Lorain; her mother Emogene Kelsay (nee McQueary) of Cambellsville, KY; her granddaughter, Jasmine Dozier; her brothers, Steve Kelsay of Elyria, David Kelsay of Lorain and her sisters, Judy Gessner and Linda Kelsay both of Lorain and Peggy Shoffner of Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude V. Kelsay; and by her sister, Jerri Marie Kelsay at age 9.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 14, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where services will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Jack Ison, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
