Anastazjia Letniachyn, 89, Enjoyed Sewing

Anastazjia Letnianchyn (nee Burko), age 89, of Lorain died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at Oak Hills Nursing Home in Lorain, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 18, 1913 in Ukraine and came to Lorain from there in 1951.

At one time she worked as a maintenance engineer at Lorain Products and later at Lorain City Hall before taking early retirement.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening and watching wrestling.

Surviving is a son, Steve Letnianchyn Jr. of Lorain, 3 grandchildren and a brother, Steve in Ukraine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, in 1983, and a daughter, Marie Letnianchyn, this past November 5, 2001.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain followed by Divine Liturgy at 1:00 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, East 31st Street and Charleston Ave., Lorain. Rev. Father Peter Tomas, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
