S. Eleanor McGinnis, 87, Betty's Child Care Owner/Operator

Born November 2, 1914 in New Castle, PA. She was a resident of Lorain for the past 41 years.

She was a homemaker and retired self-employed owner/operator of Betty's Child Care, in Lorain. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Lorain. Avid bridge player.

Survivors include her sons: Edward C., Jr. of Ashland, OH, James of Lorain, daughter: Mary Charlotte Woffinden of Los Angeles, CA, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, brother: William Confer of Medina and Robert Confer of Colonia NJ and sister, Charlotte Thompson of Kauai, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Sr., in 1995 and brother, James Confer.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at the Reidy Scanlan Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1305 East Erie St. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
