Anna Gaydosh, 88, Nurse's Aide
Anna Gaydosh (nee Demyan), 88, of Lorain died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 after a short illness.She was born August 13, 1913 in Sykesville, PA and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Mrs. Gaydosh worked as a nurse's aide at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain, the church Rosary Society, Greek Catholic Union Lodge #77 and the Jolly 60's Club. She was an active volunteer at church and helped in the kitchen making nut roll and piergoies.
She is survived by her sons: Stephen W. Gaydosh of Amherst and Jerry P. Gaydosh of Lorain; daughters: Marilyn A. Yarsa and Eileen M. Niemiec, both of Lorain; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sister Mary Stanko of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen A. Gaydosh in 1997, parents, George and Anna (nee Matina) Demyan, sister Helen Dougan and brothers Joseph Demyan, John Demyan, Michael Demyan and Peter Demyan.
The family will receive friends, Friday, May 17, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. at the Glunva-Shirmo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. The St. Nicholas Rosary Society will pray the rosary on Friday, May 17, 2002 at 4:15 p.m. in the funeral chapel. The Parastas service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002 at St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain. The Rev. James Batcha pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
