Dorothy F. Schulin, 77, Avid Bingo Player

Dorothy F. Schulin (nee Wells), age 77, of Lorain died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at the Mill Manor Nursing Home in Vermilion following an illness of several months.

She was born August 14, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee and had been a resident of Lorain since 1940.

Mrs. Schulin was previously employed by the National Tube Company (predecessor to U.S. Steel) in Lorain and had most recently worked in dietary services at Golden Acres Nursing Home.

An avid bingo player, her main interest was collecting dolls with a special emphasis on Barbie by Mattel.

Survivors include four daughters: Linda Tomazine and Kimberly Thompson both of Lorain, Betsy Barfield of Amherst, and Deborah Hogan of Vermilion, 7 grandchildren, and a sister: Sue Greggs of Columbia, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; William Kosash in 1955, her second husband: John Schulin in 1991, her parents: Clarence and Emma (nee Walken) Wells, and by a total of ten brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. James Cox, pastor of Grace Methodist Church in Vermilion officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
