Ann J. Dancik, 88, Switchboard Operator
Ann J. Dancik (nee Salyi), age 88 of Lorain died Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home following an extended illness.She was born August 1, 1913 in Hammond, Indiana and had been a resident of Lorain since 1951. She had previously resided in Norwalk.
Mrs. Dancik had been employed as a switchboard operator for the former St. Joseph Hospital.
A parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain, she was also a member of its Altar & Rosary Society, the Catholic Canicians, and the Lorain Community Seniors.
She is survived by sons: Joseph Clark and Michael Clark, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a stepson: Robert Dancik of Vermilion and a brother, Michael Salyi of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Donald Clark in 1959, by her second husband: John Dancik in 1992, by a grandson: Andrew Clark, by her parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Radvanski) Slyi, and by brothers: Albert, Ernest, Frank and Joseph.
Friends may call Sunday, May 19, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Glunva-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by her mass at 11:30 a.m. in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. G. Michael Williamson, associate pastor of St. Peter Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
