Clyde L. McWilliams, 68, Truck Driver
Clyde L. McWilliams, age 68, of Lorain died on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria following a brief illness.He was born on August 8, 1933 in Tionesta, PA. He had lived in Olmsted Township for 25 years before moving to Lorain 5 years ago.
He served in the United States Army from 1956-1958, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He was employed as a truck driver for Ramus, Dohrn, Halls and Carolina Freight Company, Cleveland and other various companies for 37 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Lakewood and a member of Teamsters Local Union #407.
Clyde enjoyed hunting, golfing and wrestling with is grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Dolores (nee Kinnear), son, Keith of Lorain, daughters: Jean Russell of North Ridgeville, Sheila Carr of Columbia Station, Michelle Bouman, of Parma, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother Wayne of Willow Creek, CA, sisters: Myrtle Brown of Edinboro, PA, Norma Stepanek, of Rocky River, OH, Anna Knight of Gynn, MI and Janet Cwalinski of Brooklyn, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert and Edith (nee Stitzinger) McWilliams, son: Jeffrey in 1982, sisters: Helen Kay and Mary Skrbina.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, North Olmsted, OH. Rev. Francis Miller, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, Lakewood will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Olmsted Township, Ohio.
