Mary F. Vrabel, 93, Seamstress
Mary F. Vrabel, (nee Pogrozelski), age 93, of Lorain died on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at Ohio Extended Care, Lorain, following a short illness.She was born on August 28, 1908 in Lorain where she has been a lifelong resident.
She was employed as a seamstress and presser for Richman Brothers and Goodall Clothing Company prior to 1938.
Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lorain and a former member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons: Richard J. Vrabel, of Sheffield Lake, and Robert Francis Vrabel of Elyria, daughters: Barbara Jean Kramer, of Norwalk, and Carol Ann Vrabel, of Lorain, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1967 and brother Edward D. Pogrozelski in 1987, sister: Ruth Smith in 1996.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Robert Glepko, pastor and Rev. Fr. George Vrabel, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst will both officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
