Joseph I. Demyan, 50, Truck Driver & U.S. Steel Worker
Joseph I. Demyan, 50, of Lorain, died Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Cleveland Clinic, following a lengthy illness.Born December 26, 1951 in Lorain.
Demyan retired in 2001 after 20 years as a long distance truck driver. Prior to that he worked at U.S. Steel in Lorain for 5 years.
The survivors in the family include daughter Jodi Valen Demyan of Sheffield Lake, mother Rose Demyan (see Zan) of Lorain, and half sister Shirley Southard.
His father Joseph Demyan preceded him in death.
Family and friends will gather directly at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain from 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2002, until the time of Mass of Christian Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Arrangements are being handled by Reidy-Scanian-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain.
