Lula L. Nay, 96, enjoyed writing poetry, reading, sewing, and fishing

Lula L. Nay, (nee Sarchet), 96, of Lorain, died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Kingston of Vermilion, following a lengthy illness.

Born February 22, 1906 in Birds Run, Ohio, she has lived in Lorain since the mid 1980's.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain.

She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, sewing and fishing.

She is survived by her son, James W. Lyons, of Brandenton, Florida, daughters, Wanda Smith, of Vermilion, Constance Green, of Phoenix, AZ, and Linda Conrad, of W. La Fayette, OH, 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Codle Nay, in 1980, a daughter, Ramona J. Hugel, a brother, Ray Sarchet, and sister, Hazel Mallete.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Graveside services will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain, will officiate.
