Blondell B. Mamrak, 84, Enjoyed crocheting, travel, bingo, & casino junkets
Blondell B. "Bea" Mamrak (nee Coole), age 84, of Worthington, Ohio and formerly of Vermilion, died Wednesday May 29th, 2002 at the Laurels of Norworth in Worthington, Ohio following an extended illness. She was born May 28, 1918 in Tunelton, West Virginia and had been a resident of Worthington for the past two years coming from Vermilion.Mrs. Mamrak was employed as a sales associate for the Petries store Midway Mall for eleven years; she retired from the company of 1981.
She was a social member of the Vermilion American Legion and was also a social member and active volunteer at Amvets Post #22 also of Vermilion.
Her hobbies included crocheting, travel, bingo, and casino junkets.
Survivors included daughters: Catherine "Coolie" Miller of Lorain, Gerri Fazekas of Columbus, Marlyn Slivik of Pompano Beach, Florida, Sharon Artar of Avon Lake, Michaelene McKinnon of Powell, Ohio, Debra Middleton of LaGrange, Kentucky, sons: John Mamrak of Elyria, Larry Mamrak of LaGrange, Kentucky, Robert Mamrak of Louisville, Kentucky, 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Michael in 1982, by a son: Michael by her granddaughter: Kimberly (Mamrak) Murray in 1997, by her parents: Walter and Catherine (nee Therat) Coole, and by sisters: Janet Odorcich and Elsie Coole.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jamie Stewart, of Avon Lake Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery - Lorain.
