Cora J. Younkman, 92, enjoyed reading and watching patriotic programs
Cora J. Younkman (nee Lugibihl)- 92 of Westlake formerly of Cincinnati passed away Thursday, May 30, at her residence following a short illness. Mrs. Younkman was born, January 23, 1910 in Pandora, OH. She had lived in the Cincinnati area prior to moving to Westlake, 1 year ago.Mrs. Younkman was a homemaker and had worked for a time as a pre-school teacher. She was an active member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Mr. Washington, OH and attended St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Amherst. She enjoyed reading and enjoyed watching patriotic programs. She was described by her family as a giving person and one who always kept in contact with family and friends.
Her husband Daniel, whom she married in 1929 passed away in 1981. She is survived by 4 daughters; Phyllis Clark of Avon Lake, Marilyn Hill (Gerald) of Lakewood, Carolyn Potts of N. Olmsted and Linda Mohn (Keith) of Youngstown. Other survivors include 18 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as sisters Marie Zerbe of Toledo and Elva Montgomery of Torrance Ca. And a brother Norman Lugibihl of Downey Ca. Besides her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Musser and brothers, Frank and Wayne Lugibihl.
Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Sunday, June 2 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home, Monday, June 3 at 9:00am.
Friends may also call the Chiles and Sons Laman funeral Home, Bluffton, OH, Monday, June 3, from 1:30-2:30pm, a prayer service will be at the Chiles and Sons Laman Funeral Home at 2:30pm, followed by the burial in Woodland Cemetery, Richland Township.
