Marie C. Pilarsh, 81, enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking
Marie C. Pilarsh (nee Razzano), age 81, of Vermilion, died Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Community Health Partners in Lorain following a short illness.Born on January 7, 1921 in Lorain, Ohio, she has been a Vermilion resident since 1956, moving from Lorain.
She had worked at the National Tube Company in Lorain, Perry Fae in Elyria, Lake Erie Lanes in Vermilion and Parks Lanes in Amherst. She formerly attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion and the Roman Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, visiting and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Brandmeier of Crestwood, KY; sons Raymond Pilarsh of Sheffield Lake and Darryl Pilarsh of Vermilion; Step-son, Denny Kovacs of Deerborn, MI; step-daughter, Nancy Kasay of Dearborn MI;6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Ethel Malone of N. Little Rock, AK, Lillian Patania of Elyria, Margaret Beachler of Lorain and Jenny Fogo of Treasure Island, FL. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Edward Pilarsh, a grandchild and a great-grandchild, parents, Andrew and Vincenze (Bove) Razzano and brothers, Louis and Peter Razzano.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 534 South Street, Vermilion where prayers will be said at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St. Vermilion with Reverend Steven Blum, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
