Clara T. Miller, 92, enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and reading.
Clara T. Miller (nee Marren), 92, of Lorain, died peacefully Friday June 7, 2002 at the Kingston of Vermilion.She was born December 11, 1909 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
She was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Lorain and the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Lorain.
Mrs. Miller worked as a registered nurse and night supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain for 25 years retiring in 1975.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion and the Salvation Army Keenagers where she played piano during the Keenagers performances.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed playing cards, bingo and reading.
She is survived by her son James (Judy) Miller of Amherst, daughters; Susan Darby of Stow and Judy Stanfield of Vermilion; stepson Gene (Ann) Miller of Vermilion and stepdaughter Donna Cline of California; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren her special nephew T (Mary Jo) Miller of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Burton Miller in 1989, brother Thomas Marren and John Marren and sisters Mary Clark, Winifred Miller and Anna Haas.
Friends may call Monday 5-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain where funeral services will he held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Steve Blum, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
