Catarino A. Rodriguez, 85, former US Steel Worker
Catarino A. Rodriguez, 85, of Lorain, died Sunday June 9, 2002 at his residence, due to a lengthy illness.He was born April 30, 1917 in Bastrop, Texas.
Rodriguez retired in 1982 after 42 years from U.S. Steel. He also was a Lorain Plant Member of Our Lady of Guadeloupe Scared Heart Society, and a member of AFL-CIO Local 1104, Lorain.
The survivors include his wife Dora (nee Ybarra) of 57 years. Sons Catarino Y. Rodriguez of Lorain, and Theodore "Shorty" Ybarra of Sheffield Lake. Daughters Elidia Y "Nona" Gall of Lorain, Elvira Moralez of Lorain, and Juanita Mendosa of Lorain. He had 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sisters Olivia Jacinto of Lorain, and Angela Lopez of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Preceded in death include his parents Antonio and Felicita Rodriguez. Brothers Natalio Rodriguez, and Vincente Rodriguez. Sisters Joseph Rodriguez, Amalia Galvan, and Mary Casarez.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Reidy Scanlan Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
