Ronald E. Yeamans, 55, US Army Veteran

Ronald E. Yeamans, 55, of Lorain died early Tuesday morning, June 11, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a long illness.

Mr. Yeamans was born on March 1, 1947 in Lorain and lived the majority of his life in the Lorain area. He was a 1965 graduate of Lorain High School. He also held an associate's degree from Muskingum Area Technology Institute and worked as an environmental technician. He was a US Army veteran serving in Viet Nam.

He enjoyed the out of doors especially fishing and camping.

He is survived by his sons, Brian R. and Joseph R. both of Lorain, daughters Michele M Slagle and Alice C. Yeamans both of Lorain, 8 grandchildren, mother, Shirley J (nee Andress) Yeamans of Lorain, brothers Avery H. of Ravenna, OH and Jerome A. of Lorain, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spencer, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Thursday, June 13, 2002 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. L.H. Chamberlain, Jr., co-pastor of the First Evangelical Luther Church, officiating.

Graveside services will be held at the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with full military burial honors provided by VFW Post 451 of Lorain.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 in Mr. Yeamans' memory.
