Jackie H. Rains, 32, enjoyed motorcycles, computer games and camping
Jackie H. Rains, Jr., age 32, of Sheffield Lake, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at his residence, following a sudden illness.Born on March 29, 1970 in Lorain, he moved to Sheffield Lake 2 years ago. He attended Firelands High School.
He was employed as a factory worker at Rollaway Corp in Wellington.
Jackie enjoyed motorcycles, computer games and camping.
He is survived by his mother: Sarah H. Leatherwood, of Sheffield Village, father: Jackie H. Rains, Sr., of Lorain, sons: Robert Rains, of Mississippi, brother: David Burnett II, of Sheffield Village, step-brother: David Leatherwood, Daniel Leatherwood, both of Lorain, and Rick Welner, of Vermilion, sisters: Wendy Alexander, of Vermilion and Amanda Lancaster, of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his sister: Diana Rains in 1978, paternal grandparents: Willie A. and Grace (nee Bentley) Rains, maternal grandparents Howard E. and Wanda M. (nee Thompson) Huskey.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2002 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where services will be held at 7:30 p.m
