Donald B. Stewart, 75, WWII Veteran

Donald B. Stewart, age 75, of Lorain died on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, OH.

Donald was born on July 27, 1926 in Nineveh, PA. and owned and operated Don's Gulf Service on Oberlin Avenue in Lorain before retiring.

Mr. Stewart had served in the Military Police during WWII from November 20, 1944 until August 12, 1946. He had received the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and the Army of Japan Occupation Medal. He was an active member of the Toledo Road Church of Christ in Lorain.

Survivors include his Wife Doris (nee Lough) of 54 years, Son Randy of Sheffield Lake and on Granddaughter Lynn of Sheffield Lake, Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded by his Parents Wiley and Rebecca (nee White) Stewart, and 13 Brothers and Sisters.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spencer, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 5th St., Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Mr. Charles Aebi, Mr. Bob Eddy and Mr. Jim Hiser officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Twp. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph or Toledo Road Church of Christ.
