Francisca "Paquita" Santiago-Hernandez, 71, enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting
Francisca "Paquita" Santiago-Hernandez, 71, of Lorain died on Friday, June 21, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, West, following a short illness.Born on February 18, 1931 in Coamo, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain from there in 1957.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
Francisca enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching.
She is survived by her son: Francisco Santiago, of Amherst, daughters: Nilda Santiago, of Barceloneta, PR and Evelyn Reyes, of Lorain, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, brothers: Sergio Hernandez, of Bayamon, PR, Roberto Hernandez of Barranquitas, PR, sisters: Josefina Hernandez, of Barranquitas, PR and Hilda Hernandez of Aibonito, PR.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years: Julio Santiago in 1971, and her son: Saul Hernandez in 1989.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain and also on Monday at 9:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain until time of funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Rev. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
