Betty L. Schroeder, 76, enjoyed church, baking, cooking, crafts and entertaining

She was born 2/23/26 in Lorain, Ohio. Mrs. Schroeder owned and operated Dusty's Tavern until retiring in 1994.

She attended St. John's United Church of Christ in Lorain, Ohio where she served on the Christian Board of Education committee and the Social committee. She enjoyed working at church, baking, cooking, crafts and entertaining. She was a member of the Weddettes from 1947 to 2002. She was a member of the Canadian Legion Drill Team from 1953 to 1963 where she served as captain and secretary.

She is survived by her son, Todd E. Schroeder of Wakeman, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman F. and Augusta M. (nee Nahorn) Bruhn.

Burial will be private a private service at Elmwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 715 Reid Avenue, Lorain, Ohio on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with a dinner reception following. Pastor Travis Balley of Lake Breeze Church of the Brethren, and Pastor Bob Smith of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate.
