Steve Cilona, 46, enjoyed golf, fishing, painting and woodcrafts
Steve Cilona, 46, of North Ridgeville, formerly of Elyria, passed away, Friday, June 28 at his home, following a 4 month illness. Mr. Cilona was born, August 23, 1955 in Sicily, Italy and moved to the United States at age 6, 1962.He was a 1973 graduate of East Liverpool High School and an autoworker with the Ford Motor Company, Avon Lake. Mr. Cilona enjoyed golf, fishing, painting and woodcrafts. He was described by his family as a kind, loving, family oriented person.
Mr. Cilona is survived by his wife Vivian (nee Pickett), whom he married March 24, 2001. Other survivors include daughters Danielle of Detroit MI and Kristen of North Ridgeville; stepsons Joe Cmjak of San Francisco, Steve Cmjak of Lima, OH and Tim Cmjak of North Ridgeville; a sister, Rose Alfano of Elyria and a brother Frank Cilona of Elyria. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Carmela (nee Gibilaro) Cilona.
Prayer service will be at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon Tuesday, July 2, at
9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Frank Kosen of the church will officiate. Interment will be private in St. Cemetery, Elyria.
