Lois M. Long, 83, West Palm Beach, FL and Lorain resident
Lois M. (nee Reed) Long, 83 of Lorain died on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio after a brief illness.Mrs. Long was born on March 11, 1919 in Lorain, OH. She moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1970 and lived there until returning to Lorain in June of this year.
While in Lorain, Mrs. Long worked at the American Crucible for 18 years. In Florida, she worked at the Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach for 8 years.
She is survived by her two sisters: Cecelia M. Camera of Oberlin, Jean VanSickle of Lorain, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Long, her parents: John M. Reed and Arvilla M. (nee Brunner) Reed Grassnig.
Funeral services will be private with burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, OH.
Family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Rd, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
