George J. Pechulis, 63, Avid Motorcycle Enthusiast
George J. Pechulis, age 63, died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Bradley Bay Health Center following an illness of several months. He was born July 8, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a resident of Lorain since 1944 coming from Cleveland.A graduate of Lorain High School, he was currently employed as a machine operator for the Becotek Manufacturing Company (formerly American Crucible) of Lorain.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he was a member of the Amherst Meadowlarks Motorcycle Club. He was especially partial to Harley Davidson motorcycles and had attended the annual Harley Davidson Conclave in Sturgis, South Dakota on several occasions. He rode extensively throughout the country and especially the midwest region. Additional interests include photography, shooting, stock car racing, and hydroplane racing.
He is survived by a sister: Sally Kayle of Brimfield Township, one niece, and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents: George A. and Nellie (nee Millus) Pechulis.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
