Rosa Z. Cruz, 95, Former Lorain Resident
Rosa Z. Cruz, (nee Zamora), 95, of Blue Lake, CA and former Lorain resident. He died on Friday, July 5, 2002 at Seaview Nursing Home, Eureka, California.She was born on August 27, 1906 in Mexico and worked at the Chevrolet Plant in Saginaw, Michigan before moving to Lorain in 1943. She then worked at the National Tube Company until 1948.
Rosa resided in Uhrichsville, Ohio from 1994 until she moved to California in 1997. While in Lorain, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the parish Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a son: Albert Vega, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and a daughter: Susan Serrano, of Elyria Township, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Benson Cruz in 1965, parents: Paul and Jenny (nee Farcas) Zamora.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is handling the arrangements.
