Elsie L. Galbraith, 79, enjoyed her family and cooking
Elsie J. Galbraith, 79 (nee Jakelsky) died late Thursday evening, July 11, 2002 at the new Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a long illness.Mrs. Galbraith was born on July 11, 1923 in Grafton, Ohio and lived for the past 53 years in Lorain. She was a 1941 graduate of Grafton High School. She was a retired autoworker from General Motor.
She enjoyed her family and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Schildwachter of Lorain, sons, Rick Galbraith of Elyria, Jerry Madaras of Avon Lake, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters, Anna Denk of Avon and Louise Lawson of Elyria, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Galbraith on Feb. 6, 2001, daughter, Karen A. Spencer in 1998, her parents, Antone and Anna (nee Peterson) Jakelsky, brothers, Frank and William Jakelsky and a sister, Ellen Taylor.
Friend may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH on Monday, July 15, 2002 from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at noon. Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township, OH.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in memory of Mrs. Galbraith.
