Jeannette J. "Jennie" Mayher, 80, Life-long Lorain resident
Jeannette J. "Jennie" Mayher, (nee Kate), 80, of Lorain, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.Born November 14, 1921 in Lorain, she has been a life long resident here.
She attended Lorain High School and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lorain, United Polish Club and the Polish American Citizen Club.
Surviving is her son, Eugene J. Mayher, of Parma Heights, OH, and 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Andrew A. Mayher, in 2000, brothers, Theodore Kata, Henry Kata, in 1993, a sister Kathryn Rangus, in 2002, parents, Casimir Kata, in 1974, the former Anna Polny, in 1922.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12th, from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Saturday, July 13th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev Fr. David Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
