Margaret D. Rataj, 76, Lifelong resident
Margaret D. Rataj, (nee Dziedzic), 76, of Sheffield Township, died on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at EMH Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.She was born on January 12, 1926 in Lorain, and has been a lifelong resident here.
Margaret was employed as an automatic machine operator for Duffin Manufacturing Company, Elyria, for 34 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria.
She is survived by her sons: Phillip "Tim" Rataj, of West Palm Beach, Florida, Ron, of Mentor and Richard of Sheffield Township, OH, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and brother: Clarence "Casey" Foster, of Warren, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George in 1997, daughter Donna Rataj, in 1959, and sons: James in 1974 and Kenneth, July 16, 2002.
Private services for the family will be held with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is handling the arrangements.
