Oran A. Hall, 76, WWII US Navy Veteran
Oran A. Hall, 76, of Lorain, died on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.He was born on December 12, 1925 in Braxton, West Virginia, and moved to this area in 1950.
He attended Gassaway High School and Glenville States Teachers College.
Oran served in the United States Navy during WWII and again in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was employed for 20 years at General Motors Assembly Plant, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church and also enjoyed craftwork and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Harriett (nee Bailey), sons: Larry, of Cincinnati, OH, Jeffrey Lee of Franklin, North Carolina, daughters: Sharon Pottorf, of Cincinnati, OH, Patti Sue, of Birmingham, OH, Dee Ann Hall, of Elyria, OH, 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and brother: Robert E. Hall, of Nashville, TN.
