Lois M. Sutter, 74, enjoyed traveling with her friends, playing cards and bingo

Lois M. Sutter, (nee Spidell), 74, of Lorain died on Monday, July 15, 2002 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born September 26, 1927 in Lorain and lived there most of her life there. She also was a resident in Arizona for 20 years.

Mrs. Sutter graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1944B.

She was a member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, Lorain, AARP, and the Black River Historical Society, Lorain.

Lois enjoyed traveling with her friends, playing cards and bingo.

Her survivors include sons Edward A. Abel of Lorain, Gerald Abel of St. Clair Shores, MI., Leslie Abel of Pinckney, MI., Dean Abel of Sheffield Lake and James of Grass Lake, MI., 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a stepdaughter Mary Lou Sanders of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and stepsons David Sutter of Tuscon, Arizona and John Sutter of Lorain.

Preceded in death include her first husband Archie Abel (1972), second husband John Sutter (1994) and her parents Edward (1965) and Marie (1994) (nee Stolba) Spidell.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2-7 p.m., at Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain where services will take place at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. J. Dennis Henkle Pastor of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.

Memorials suggested to Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, 658 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, OH 44052.

Inurnment to take place at a later date.
