Cherie Marie Szucs, 32, enjoyed teaching and stainglass

Cherie Marie Szues, 32 year of age, and resident of Amherst, passed away Monday, July 22, 2002 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria from injuries received in an auto accident.

She was born February 4, 1970 in Amherst where she was raised and graduated from Firelands High School with the class of 1988. She had been a lifelong resident of Amherst.

She was employed as a manager for Pro-Am Photography, Elyria. She received her degree from Lorain County Community College in Pre-Professional Art and an Associate Degree in Fitness and Applied Science. Cherie also worked as a personal trainer, and aerobics & CPR teacher. She was a corporate trainer through Lorain Community College for Beckett Corp, Ford Motor Corp, and Moen, Inc. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst and, among other hobbies, she enjoyed teaching and doing stainglass.

Survivors include her parents, Richard and Rosemary (nee Nemeth) Szucs; and her sister Connie Szucs.

Friend may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Hemple Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church; 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst with Rev. Fr. George Vrable, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Animal Protective League; 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, 44035.
